A contemporary setting of evening prayer, offered in thanksgiving as daylight gives way to the night. Ray Makeever gives new shape to the song and psalms of an order of worship that has long brought a holy rest to the people of God.

Our young folks will lead our worship as they describe for us ”The Symbols of Christmas.” Followed by a light lunch and Christmas activity to prepare packages to go to our most senior members and shut-ins. Followed by caroling and deliver these gifts. This is an activity for everyone.

Blue Christmas Service

Zion Lutheran, Tuesday, December 21—7:00pm
A service of prayer, lament, and hope for those who find the holiday season to be particularly difficult. This is a time when we can, with others, acknowledge the "blue" feelings we have at Christmas time, the reasons for them, and offer them to God. This time has been called the "long dark night of the soul" and "the winter of our discontent" in which memories of past experiences and the pain of present experiences can become overwhelming.
